ARIZONA LAKE FISHING REPORTS

HOT–Day time temperatures have been in the 100’s.   Roosevelt Lake-water temperature in the mid 80’s.  Night fishing has been good.  A night tournament on June 28th was won with 5 fish for over 25 .  Deep crank baits, jigs, and Texas rig 10 inch power worms and creature baits working.  Lake is still dropping.

LAKE PLEASANT

Water temperature in mid 80’s.  Early morning striper bite on top water baits in the North end of the lake right at first light.  Look for stripers and bass boils chasing shad.  It slows down after the sun pops up.  Bass are hitting drop shots off of points, and islands in main lake.  They are releasing water, which will have bass moving deeper.

Remember to drink plenty of water or Gatorade.  The Sheriff deputies, water patrol, and Game and Fish will be out in full force on the lakes this weekend and will have DUI check points on the water and roads, so make this a fun weekend and use common sense.  Have a designated driver and play it safe.

BARTLETT LAKE

Water temperature in the mid 80’s.  Water level is still dropping.  Some top water fish in lower end of the lake until the sun comes up.  Drop shots, 5 inch grubs, half once jugs and small shad colored cranks are working.

ROOSEVELT LAKE

Water temperature in the mid 70’s.  Top water early, deep cranks, jigs, 10″ worms in 20 to 30 feet of water, with nice bass being caught.  If you can handle throwing large swim baits, a double-digit bass can be the ticket.  Several 10 pound plus bass have been caught in the past 2 months.  With a full moon approaching, night fishing will be getting underway.  Beat the heat.
