ARIZONA LAKE FISHING REPORTS
The weather conditions have been strange this Spring. The past week has been in the upper 80’s and ended the week with rain and temperatures in the 60’s.
LAKE PLEASANT
Lake Pleasant has been mostly Post Spawn with a lot of bass just following the baits back to the boat, but not aggressive. Some stripers in 60 feet of water hitting big spoons. The water level has been coming up, but the CAP is getting ready to start releasing water soon. Water temperature in the upper 60’s to low 70’s.
BARTLETT LAKE
Bartlett lake is coming up some with the release of water from Horseshoe. Bass have been hitting cranks, spinnerbaits, drop shots, and Texas rig creature baits. Water temperature in the upper 60’s to low 70’s. Some crappie hitting minnows around the yellow cliffs on small jigs tipped with minnows.
ROOSEVELT LAKE
Roosevelt Lake has been on fire. The last few tournaments have been won with a 4 plus pound per fish limit. Big cranks, chatterbaits, topwater, buzzbaits, dropshot, flipping and Texas rigs. They have bee releasing water into Apache lake. Water temperature in upper 60’s and low 70’s.
HORSE LAKE
Horseshoe Lake, if you can brave the road going in, has been real good for flipping in the upper end, with reports of 3 to 5 pounders. They are draining the lake into Bartlett, so this bite will not last long
SAGUARO LAKE
ALAMO LAKE
Alamo Lake has been real good. Some good reports on crappie. Bass are hitting Senkos wacky rigged or Texas rigged. Cranks, spinnerbaits, topwater, drop shot Robo worms and Texas rigged baby brush hogs. Water temperature in upper 60’s and low 70’s.
MARY LAKE – NEAR FLAGSTAFF
